-my ig is approaching 2 yrs of age. when will she go into egg-laying mode?

Any time now. Watch for signs of decrease in her eating and pooping, mood swings and trying to dig.

Is broccoli good or bad for iguanas?? I have heard both.

I'd avoid it. Stick with things that are only good and avoid those that are questionable. We never use broccoli.

Is there any type of cleaning agent that is appropriate for iguanas?

Good old diluted bleach (mixed with water). Or a mild dish soap. Use a scrub brush, sponge and bucket that is designated for only the iguana (to avoid dieases). Never ever use anything with "pine" in it. It can be toxic.

Tonight, she pooped, and seemed to have quite a bit of fun in it before she climbed back up onto her branches. Is this normal that she had the poop all over her?

She was poop painting. LOL Sometimes they just get messy. Give her a warm bath to wash it away (do not use soap). The trick is that as soon as you notice she's pooped, clean it up.

I always thought they avoided contact with their poop.

Who told you that? An iguana? LOL Some do, and some don't. Depends on the iguana.

Happy cleaning!

Sue2
