I just got back from being out of town for five days, and I immediately noticed thta my iguana Guapi has what appears to be some type of wound on the front of his mouth. I had a house sitter feed him and give him clean water while I was gone, but I wonder if he started rubbing his mouth on things (looking for food)in the cage if he didn't get fed on the same schedule. The owie looks like blackened dead skin on the very front of his mouth, above and below. I have put some iodine on it to try to heal it. I thought about using neosporin, but I am afraid that he might digest some of it because it is on his mouth. Does anyone know what else I can do, or what else would cause this owie? Thank you!!!!
