I've never heard of any nutritional disorders associated with this. My Iguana has this problem, too. I believe it is just costemtic. I am pretty sure that my iguana's dorsal spines were bent when he crawled between two branches to sleep when he was a bit younger. Some of them won't stand up now and were bent to the point that getting the shedded skin off of them is difficult. Don't worry about it; it isn't a husbandry problem and you can't fix it. I would look for places in his enclosure that could cause the compression like mine experienced--you can at least prevent further bending.
