Hi every one. Ive actualy been here for along time, ive just never posted here because im more of a snake person. However I love my Iguana and literaly take him out every day. hes almost 2 I suppose, I dont know for sure because I got him for free with a 5ft x 4ft x 3ft pen. His name is jake, I assume he is male, but i have no proven male to compare his pores to, However I would be suprised if i was wrong. Hes 3ft and still a vibrant green color, and ive had him for almost 6 months.

Anyways I want to see if his diet is ok. Everyday I give him a ratio of 60% dandilion and 40% collard

weekly as a treat he gets banana, apple, blueberries, and maybe a leaf of romain lettice that would normal go to my redfoot tortoise. Very very ocasionaly I will give him acouple crickets, once a month at most. I gave him some kiwi for the first time today. so does this sound acceptional?

My main question however is, on MK's mk salad she has sweet potato listed. Is this the same as Yam, because I know that they are technicly different but are they so diffrent that it would be a bad idea to give him some. and are thoes yams or sweet potatos on mk's page?

BTW for a little tid bit I was told that he is alergic to tomato's so i keep his food clear of tomatos. Is this common for ig's?
