: I wonder if you could lower the overall temp in your room??? (How can *you* stand it??? ugh!). I think they could probably be ok without a basking light if the temp is warm, but I don’t know that they’d be happy without it. It is instinct for them to bask, and let’s face it, there’s not really much else they do besides. Also, a basking light on one side gives the necessary ambient temp in the tank so that the ig can thermoregulate to fit his needs by moving to/from the warmer/cooler sides of the tank. Of course little Wasabi will need some time to acclimate to his new surroundings, and baby igs tend to be very panicky most of the time. As you pick him up, offer him little pieces of the leaf and see if he will nibble at that. Whether he eats the food or not, continue to offer it to him every day and I would recommend making the pieces very small until he grows some. In addition to fitting it comfortably in his mouth, he will be able to fit more of the small pieces in his gut and will maybe eat more once he is eating regularly. If he was eating regularly at CoRR (and I suspect he was) then I think it won’t be long before he will be doing so again. Good luck with the little beauty!
: Thanks for the update on Clyde, he is such a beautiful ig, I wish I could take him too!
: I’m posting Wasabi’s pic for you to make it easy for peeps to see, tho I still encourage visiting CoRR’s site. I visit there often myself just to see how the igs are doing - and I got the beautiful Darwin from there :-)
