Until someone with more medical knowledge than me or a vet tells you something else to use, I think I'd continue irrigating it with the peroxide just like you've done. I'd also call your vet & seek phone consult since the distance is great, etc.
Have you looked to see if perhaps he chomped on something (wood perhaps) and a piece is caught up under the gum irritating it & causing the swelling?
Stupid question on my part......can reptiles develop tooth abscess the way we do? Tooth may have fallen out due to this & the swelling is part of it.
The other thought that crossed my mind is the remote possibility that this is the result of chomping on an electrical cord.
I imagine you hate a mystery such as this as much as I do.....because no one wants a repeat performance!
Don't think I've been much help but can offer you thoughts & prayers for Iz and his worried mom!
