I am not sure how you could treat his mouth, but for eating - it might be easier for him to lick up baby food. This helped me when my ig had a very bad case of MBD and his whole jaw swelled. In my defense he got the MBD shortly after I received him from poor pet store diet. Fixed that. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.
