If you stain your plywood, be careful. Most Paint and Stains contain chemicals that are harmful to Igs from what I understand. To avoid any problems in that area, we stained only the outside of the cage and made sure the fumes were aired out well before finishing touchs were made and Baby was allowed in. Cosmetically I would have liked to stain the inside as well, but it's just not worth taking a chance. Good luck!
