I'm thinking who the h@ll are you!!! Welcome back! I have read a little about this diet but am not totally familiar with it. Do you have to be on it completely for these guidelines to apply? Tell me more... It really makes me nervous though because you have to know one way or the other (and be careful what to tell people when they ask about eggs and such) I realize new information comes to light everyday, but give me some more facts on this.... and answer her question about the eggs in relation to this walkabout diet! I'm looking forward to hearing more.... ;-)
: Susan Donoghue (Walkabout Diet hyperlinked at MKs website) minimizes this fear by rec. her diet which has dried egg in it. Also oxalates are downplayed when using her diet you can give as much spinach and romaine lettuce as you desire to your igs. We often recommend giving igs yogurt when they have been dewormed or on antibiotics right? We feed igs processed foods like egg noodles. The no-no to animal protein doesn't seem to have the punch it used to in days gone by. Does this mean feed your igs crix or steak? I wouldn't but the current belief is animal protein fed on a daily basis (Walkabout Diet) does not contribute to renal disease as much as say chronic dehydration does (according to Donoghues site)
