Phoenix lost his tail in May. So far, he has grown about two inches back. Since Merlin is young, I don't think that it will take as long for his tail to grow back (Phoenix is about 2, I think). But I have heard that sometimes their tails don't grow back, so if it doesn't don't freak out.
