: When's the last time you looked in CAR & DRIVER magazine and saw a picture of a body mangled in a car crash?(it happens all the time).

: When's the last time you looked at CAT FANCY magazine and saw a picture of someones eye ball split in half
: by a cats claw? (it happens all the time).

: When's the last time you looked at GUNS & AMMO magazine
: and saw a picture of someone with a hole in his head
: after cleaning a loaded gun? (it happens all the time).

: Spectacular as the Ig bite pic was, there's a 1000
: pictures just as bad or worse of the damage inflicted by the bites of small dogs. And big dogs? Well they KILL dozens of people every year. (usually by tearing them apart).

: I think it was stupid of Reptiles magazine to print the Ig bite photo to start with. It simply shows the magazine is not interested in promoting keeping reptiles as pets.

: What's next? The nub of someones finger bitten off by a snapping turtle? I've bought my last copy of Reptile Magazine.
:

I own three iguanas. Two of them are 6 months old and the other is 2 and a half years. I've read the article in reptiles magazine that you mention and I don't think of it as promoting anything. I read this article as an iguana education lesson. That's what this magazine is mostly for. People have things happen to them and spread the word not only to warn others about their experiences but to prevent them of happening to others. I love my iguanas and would not give them up just because some lady got her face bitten. I'm just more careful than I would have been if I wouldn't have read that article. Especially with the larger one. Don't let one article discourage you from buying Reptiles Magazine. I think you'll be missing out on alot of learning.
By the way Roman, I only counted 2.
