First of all...

HOW WIDE IS IT???????

WIDTH plays a major role in keeping an animal healthy, and properly. If it doesnt have room to move around, it'll suffer. At least 3.5-4.5 feet is a good range.

NOW, about the two igs.

BAD IDEA to keep 'em in one cage, due to territoriality, and competition in getting "the best spots".

Your CURRENT SIZE is good in the longrun for ONE IGUANA, adult or juvie. You put two, not only do you have to DUPLICATE the size, but the setup, so each gets a good spot, a water bowl, pool or food bowl. Lotsa money pal!

The pro's about having two igs is having "twice the fun" in watching them interact, etc. Con's are they may not get along, especially if they are two males, they'll cost you twice in food, cleaning, and time to care for them, and electricity (HUGE CAGE, or two the same size as your current).

I have one iguana, and his cage is 8x8x8! Go figure.

The best way to go is to give them separate dwellings, with separate water n food.
They can be "together" during free-roaming, supervised of course. Think about it, and do lots of research!

*** IMPORTANT ***
Alsways keep a new acquisition in quarantine for a month or so, to prevent passing-on of viruses or bacteria to your present iguana. Even with de-worming and medicines, wait for a month before keeping them together.

My 2 cents.

:)

: i just had a cage built for my 19 inch ig. The cage ended up being twice the size thought it would be, its 6 foot high and 5 across, it looks kind of funny, i have this enormous cage and this little iguana in it. someone suggested i could get another iguana. i know some of you regulars on here have more then 1. can they feed from the same bowl and bask in the same spot. if i do this are they any problems i could in run into, will they fight? i would love to have 1 more ig. thank you
