hi chuck,
how old is your iguana? how long have you had him? some iguanas take a long time to get used to new surroundings. my 5 month old still doesnt eat very well. especially if we are in the room while he is wanting his food. he eats better if no one is around.
also, i have found out that he likes his food shredded. and his collard, mustard and turnip greens left a little larger than i have been cutting them up. my other iguana refused to eat anything shredded and the greens had to be cut in very tiny pieces. so it is basically just trial and error with them. every iguana is different.
melissa kaplan has an excellent site for diet. i am sending you her picky eaters link.
how long has he gone without eating? are you sure he isnt eating while you are out of the room? are you giving him fresh food everyday? and fresh water too? is he pooping everyday? lots of questions i know, but have you read melissa kaplans site? a lot of your questions can be answered with a little reasearch. there are so many links to good iguana info. let us know if you need some. i spend countless hours at computer reading about the little cuties that have stolen my heart! lol
and by the way, whats your little guys name??
