please check out this website about animal protein in an iguanas diet and then you will know why not to give it to them. a dog absolutely loves chocolate too, but we know that chocolate is toxic to them, so they dont get it. same rule applies here.
a diet with animal protein included can lead to renal failure,kidney stones, metabolic bone disease, and several other complications. i just would rather not risk this happening to my iguana. iguanas more often than not, do not show us they are sick until it is too late.
please check out this site for more information on this subject...and then have your friend check it out too. its never to late to help a friend do what is best for his green friend too. hope this helps you understand it a bit better. :)
