Do your iguanas have access to DIRECT sunlight, (not through glass) AND a uvb florescent tube? The answer to this question will direct the answer to the rest. Also, calcium suppliments are not an answer to calcium deficency in themselves. Ususlly, it is best NOT to listen to advice from a pet shop. The vast majority have no clue as to proper iguana care. You should read, read, read everything you can get your hands on about iguanas. Jim Hatfield's book, "The ultimate iguana manual" and Melissa Kaplan's "Iguanas for dummies" are both good.

: I have had iggy since a couple of days after christmas and since then she hasnt grown she seems healthy and happy but she just wont grow. when i purchased her they couldnt tell me how old she was but she was small and she still is, she eats healthy and is very active and i have been experimenting with different kind of vegitables for her and her favorite seems to be mustard greens. At every feeding i sprinkle a bit of Reptical which is a calcium supplement i got from our local pet store. she has never seemed sick and seems happy (especially when my mom comes to see her) but i want her to grow. I also have a larger ig (age unknown)who is considerably larger than she is but he was starting to loose his toe nails on his front claws and starting to turn a brownish yellow color down his tail and the pet store i purchased him from said that he has a calcium deficiency so we are giving him the reptical also but he knows when it is on the food and doesnt like to eat it. he is missing all of the nails on his right foot and all but the first and last on his left foot will they ever grow back? we have only had him since may. if anyone can help me please email me at iguanalover00@hotmail.com all help will be greatly appreciated
