This idea would be based on the genetic DNA between the two lizards. If it's a close match, it's possible for the two lizards to mate and produce offspring. But there becomes another problem, which is if they would want to mate together. Some lizards will and yet others won't. Chance is increased if the two were raised together without any other lizards around.
There have been a few reported cases of crossed iguanas, but it's rare. I believe most of this is due to breeders not being interested in developing cross breeds of iguanas. Most breeders are focusing on monitors, snakes and other reptiles when developing mixed species.
This will be all the information I'll give out on this, since I am against breeding iguanas, whether it's mixed species or not. When it involves Green iguanas I'm against it.
