In answer to your question about warmth. They find their own location in the tank where they are comfortable. I have 2 thermometers one up and one down. I have a red light, a black light and an additional UVB light. They are spread out so they can decide which one they want to rest under. The black light and red light are on all day and the UBV light goes on in the afternoon until it gets dark. Laila likes it a little cooler than Herbie. I have an electric heating blanket under the tank and I have 10 temperatures to decide from plus an additional heating pad for Herbie because Laila likes it a little cooler on her belly. Herbie he likes to burn. I do not have to have any lights on at night and they know when the shade gets closed and the lights go out they go to their corners and are asleep in 10 minutes. I have 6 cats also that cuddle around the cage at night, they all know they are very loved and spoiled and believe me this is all provided on a very low income. P.S. you always turn the electric blanket off when going out.
