: hello everyone, lenny is doing great, that is proabably the reason why i havent posted a message in quite some time but i still read the forum everyday. i am now building a 5 foot wire cage and was curiuos to see if i should do anything different or in addition, i having a door at the top and bottom, 2 built in shelves and a pullout tray, would you all do anything different. thanks for the daily info.
I think it would be very hard to keep a wire cage warm. We used plexi glass to build ours. It keeps the heat & humidity in much better than a glass tank did. We put in 2 shelves, a screen window on the side, a lid on top & a door in front. Wish we couldve figured out a way to put in a slide out bottom.. woudlve helped in cleaning. Oh well. Stone loves it so thats what is important.
