Check the temperature of your cage area. It should not be below 75 degrees, with a warm area up to 90-95. They will not eat if too cold. Don't feed lettuce of any kind on a daily basis, also no cabbage, no apple, and very little fruit. Feed collard greens, dandelion greens, mustard greens, turnip greens, shredded butternut squash, shredded green beans, broken snow peas. This is not all that's good, only a start. Be sure to chop or shred very fine for little igs! Try a little bread in small amounts. Also red or orange hibiscus flowers may help. What is the outside temp when he is getting his uv rays? Should be over 75. Use an inside uvb florescent such as zoo med's. they're not cheap. All I'm telling you is just for now. You should read as much as possible about keeping these animals. Get a copy of Melissa Kaplan's new book, "Iguanas for Dummies" Good luck, and let us know if he eats....
: I have a baby green iguana, and he wont eat. I have him in a cage where he has more than enough room, he has branches to climb on, he was a water dish where he can soak, i put him out during the day so that he can get his UV rays, for about 6 hrs a day, and when i bring him in, i provide a heat lamp on one side of the cage. I mist his tank several times a day to maintain humidity. I am feeding him a variety of foods such as: romaine lettuce, cabbage, shredded carrots, apples, cantaloupe, grapes..etc.
: From my knowledge, im providing the proper care. I dont see why he is not eating.
