: I WAS THINKING ABOUT BUYING A MONITOR FROM THE LOCAL PET SOTRE BUT I FIGURED THEY WERE TO MEAN TO FREE ROAM AND I DONT HAVE A BIG ENOUGH CAGE FROM HIM THE ONE AT THE STORE IS WAY TO SMALL WHAT CAN U TELL ME ABOUT THEM,?????
I have a savannah and they are suppose to be the calmest of all. Most monitors need big cages and ecentric set-ups.
They also will cost a lot to feed, rats and crickets are expensive. Try your best to get a "captive bred" monitor--a lot of the wild caught ones
will have problems, that's my experience anyway. Watch the monitor forum, them guys will hammer it on you, they are very smart and can be mean!
Good Luck.
