There was a pet store around here that I had similar problems with-- I spoke with the employees and the manager on several occasions. I printed out care info and gave it to them. I stopped buying my crickets for my beardie there or any other supplies while I was doing this. I checked back after several weeks to see if anything had changed and NO differences. I stopped going there all together and was considering reporting them. The funny thing is-- I found out they closed down their store so maybe there is such a thing as KARMA! The horrors I saw in there were beyond belief. They didn't know anything about reptiles and only carried a few at a time. Iguanas and maybe one or 2 smaller lizards that never sold. No one would think to shop for reptiles there so these things would just sit until they died. There was no UV light, and they fed them the canned reptile food. The worst part was though that sometimes the igs were covered with bumps (diseases I had never seen) and it broke my heart! They just said they got them that way. HOW COULD YOU SELL THEM IN THAT CONDITION? AND IF YOU KNEW ANYTHING ABOUT IGUANAS YOU WOULD NEVER HAVE ACCEPTED THEM FROM A BREEDER IN THAT CONDITION IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!!! I would constantly tell them that they were on the brink of death. The next visit always had fresh igs (and I knew the other ones had died). Once someone brought in a tiny iguana because their son wasn't taking care of it (it had severe MBD and couldn't move) It was doubtful the little guy would have made it, but you know the guy stuck him in the freezer to kill him (thinking this was a humane death) I read on MK's site that this is one of the worst possible deaths for an ig! Anyway, I'm glad they are out of business!!!!!!! Do what you have to do and make them accountable!
