Jennifer, I hope I didn't confuse you about iodine! The one you want IS NOT the one that is straight iodine that usually comes in a little brown bottle with a stick in the cap for application. If that was what you used, I'd have to be held down, too. *grin* It should be Povidone Iodine--this usually comes in a bottle about the size of hydrogen peroxide; here it is a frosty-colored bottle with yellow & blue writing on it. You also want the LOWEST strength available. Then you pour some out into a bowl (or whatever) & dilute it with water so that it is the color of weak tea.
If you did use the right stuff, then *whew* And what most of us have found over the years is that it is easier for 1x daily meds to put medication on either right before bedtime (the ig's not yours *grin*)or after their lights are out and they're snoozing.
Good luck at the vet's. I'm glad you're getting her in for the vet to see the burns and determine best course. Don't panic if the vet decides she needs oral antibiotics if these are infected. Normally this is something called Baytril and it's easy to do. Keep us posted and ask for help if you need it!
