How to tell if jaw area is soft?

: Hi, I have a new ig. I have written before. I have a UV light Zoo med, and feed him(?) squash, mustard greens, kale, gr. beans. I rotate these items daily. Frankie is about 19 inches long from snout to end of tail. I am not sure how old he is. Anyway, he seems to have rubbed a spot on his nose and now his mouth does not close all the way. There is just a little gap at the tip. I am soo worried about that bone loss disease that I can't tell if his jaw is soft, or supposed to be that way. His legs look in great shape and he is getting fat and ready to go through another shed due to growing. If there is any advice, let me know. I already read the green iguana on this disease and they showed a picture of an ig with and over bite, which mine does not have. : Maybe just a worried ig mom? Never to careful.
