I would get Reptisun5.0 or ESU UVB bulb and something for heat in the daytime, a regular incadescent or some type of
heat light. The basking area should be somewhere around 94-98 degrees F. Read as many caresheets as you can. Good Luck and stay in touch on the forum.
Ask all the questions you please, we're here to help!
Hey, I just got a new iguana and I gots a few questions. I was
: wondering if it's ok to put a heating pad on low in his cage, and
: just put sometihng over it. I'm guessing that you can't, but I
: wanna make sure. Even if it's just fer night time, because it
: gets 'really' cold here at night. My last iguana,(he was about 3
: but he was half dead when we got him:( but we helped him out for
: the last 3 years of his life, but the vet said it was something
: like relapse and he died) but anyway, he used to sleep in my bed
: with me and he was really warm, but new iguana is only 2months
: old so i'm too scared that someithn will happen. and 2ndly, is
: romain lettuce ok to feed iguana's everyday? cause i always
: thought it was, but then someone told me to never feed it to them
: Someone please help me out here, cause the last thing i want is
: to not be able to take care of my little dude and have him sick.
: (or if not a heating pad, then any other suggestion. please)
: Thanx
: Amanda
