That's what got to me - his eyes were open. This hibernating or brumating(?) that igmom was talking about *seems* like it might be the answer. If there are some spiny's in the southwest that do it, I'll take that as a real good sign!
So far he seems okay, but is spending more time on the bottom of the cage.
In reference to Larry, one of our beardies hibernated for three whole months. No food or water, -talk about wierd. I kept waiting for him to start decomposing! He has never done it since in the four years that followed.
Thanks for the thoughts...we'll see how it goes.
