abused iguana

I work at a pet store and a guy brought in his iguana that has been severely abused. He kept cutting his tail so he could be squished into a 20 gallon tank. He is about 4 years old and is only about 3 feet long. When he brought him in i was about to punch the guy in the face and then call the cops. I took the iguana home since I have always wanted an iguana and i had a nice brand new 4 foot by 3 foot by 2 foot cage right in front of the window. He is eating really well and is gaining weight already. He has great coloration and is the nicest thing ever! I can't believe it. I have been looking over websites about bathing and letting your iguana swim in your bathtub. I have heard different opinions on the water temp. and salmonela. I would like to hear what the people in this forum do to bath their iguanas and let it swim.
