: Every time I go to petco I see some poor animal that hasn't been fed for God knows how long. I swear they never feed the animals. What is it, the store policy not to take care of the animals. I go to petco in springfeild, Il to get mice since they are so cheap($.99) and every time I go I see some poor animal that is about half dead. I want to take them home but I just don't have the money or the room. IS THERE ANYONE THAT I CAN CONTACT TO LET THEM KNOW. SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE ABOUT THE POOR CARE OF THESE ANIMALS.
i used to work at a Petco, and I was also working at a great reptile shop at the same time. When I started at petco, I had an awesome supervisor. A district manager decided she didn't like him and transferred him out to the boonies.
Then, in came the mean manager (who incidentally was the DM's best friend.) He started to get on all of us specialists cases. Some of us had worked there for over three years, and we knew our business. But I got written up for tresting a ball python for ticks. And after he yelled at me in front of customers for this, I quit. unfortunaly for the animals, so did all of the other animal specialists that worked there at the time, and customers even complained about this guy, but he still works there, two years later. I gave up on trying to help Petco already, and just try to concentrate on my better job. :-)
