Bladder stones ... *yeouch*

: any one with any experience/helpful input out there??? : as if iZ hasn't been thru enough ... he now has a rather large stone that has formed in his bladder ... he has passed smaller stones and a rather large chunk off the large stone and i am sending that off to the lab to find out what it's composition is so we know how to treat the existing one(s) and how to prevent future ones ... : my immediate concern is this egg shaped stone ... it has formed around one or more of the sutures in his bladder from last year's surgery so right now, it is stationery ... if it breaks loose and he can't pass it, there's the major potential for obstruction ... : the 2 options are surgery to remove it or find a vet who does shock wave ultra-sound treatments to break it up that way ... : neither sounds much fun ...
