MBD

Hi, my salvator monitor has MBD. I know this is the iguana forum, but MBD in monitors is rare, so I figured all of you might be more knowledgable on this subject. He's being treated by the vet with oral calcium and hormone shots every two weeks. The vet felt that it wasn't too advanced and could be reversed. I've been trying to take him outside in the sun everyday for a couple hours a day. Not an easy task with this guy. My vet thinks he got MBD because of no natural sun, being that he was on a proper diet and supplementation. Does anyone have any suggestions of other things that I could be doing to help him heal?
