Hey there fellow iguana lovers.....

As promised, I went to the fair tonight. I couldn't find my care sheet so I found one that looked pretty good online, printed it out and took it over there. Of course the kid working the booth was young and probably thought I was crazy, but he was pretty nice. I mean, what could he do? He's not the one in "charge".

Anyway, I went up to him and said pretty loud..."Hey, I've got a bone to pick with you!" (of course you know I was being sarcastic, gave him a little jump though...LOL)I first complimented him on the fact that they were even giving out care-sheets at all and then whipped the one out of my purse and asked him to please have his boss take out the part about feeding "Ham, crickets and meal-worms" and substitute it for the menu on this care-sheet. He took it and said he'd see what he can do.

I then asked why they don't give out hermit crabs or something instead of a high maintenance pet. I felt pretty dumb when he pointed out that they had those too. I told him I thought they should just go with the crabs period. He agreed. He did say that they take the Ig's back home with them at night and put them in a larger cage with heat, ect. I guess that's better than nothing, huh? But still, I felt bad that I couldn't do more. I did pay two bucks to try and win another one and find a good home, but, darn the luck, I wasn't that lucky. Oh well...life goes on, we do what we can do and that's got to be enough, but sometimes it stinks, doesn't it?! So, my saga has come to an end....J
