My first Rescue! Well.....kinda......

County Fair story continued.....Well, my neighbors two doors down won an Iguana at the fair and then passed him to our awesome neighbors right next to us. Understandably, she is not able to take him after all. They are getting ready to move soon. So, she brought him back over. It was pretty cool. I put Baby and the little guy outside for some nice warm afternoon sun. They pretty much kept their distance and I could tell it was just what the little guy needed.
He was a lot perkier tonight after being under the proper lighting and getting some yummy mustard greens etc. Anyway, I had no intention of keeping him but knew I'd need another heat lamp for him just incase it took a while to find a new mommy. I went to Pet Supplies Plus and was having a few things rung up and the nice cashier says "Getting an Iguana?" I told her the situation. She said "I'll take him." I asked if she had any experience. She said she already had one. I was thrilled!!!! It felt great to find a good home for him.
So...I said "Cancel this then! I'll run home and get him" which I did along with some mustard greens, a squash, some green beans and some sweet potato. I figured I would just make sure she had some goods to go along with him. I also gave her the address to our site and so hopefully she'll hook up soon. (If you are out there reading this....Hi! And Thanks again! Good luck with your new addition! Let us know if you need anything!) WEll, folks....storytime is over. I was just so proud to be able to help out one of our little green friends! It was kinda hard to part with him. Hope I did the right thing. Take care all.....J
