(hadta LOL @ the title cuz i just put a very grouchy 2yo human child down for a much needed NAP!) ...

oh!?!? you mean an IG?? *grin*
with loads + loads of patience + persistance + even *more* understanding that the ig is aggressive out of fear, sure, it's very possible to "tame" a 2yo ig ... tho "tame" isn't a word i'd use for igs ... "socialized" maybe ... an ig is never gonna be tame in the sense that a dog is ... but then, there's exceptions to that too ...

(i may have had too much caffiene ... sorry to ramble)

dogs (for example) are born trusting humans ... igs are 'born' NOT trusting us ... so go at this with that in mind, that this ig is scared and not at all sure that you're not gonna munch on him ...

develop + stick to a daily routine: a set time for feedings, time of enclosure cleaning, even the time that you're in the same room as the ig! this will let the ig learn to know *when* to expect *what* and hopefully will help him be less fearful ... he'll get used to seeing you when nothing happens and when food comes ...

that's a start ...

noooo sudden movements around him, noooo loud noises! don't "Loom Over" him when you do approach his enclosure ... makes him feel like he's gonna be a snack ... be at eye level with him, or have him be slightly above you, makes him feel a bit safer ...

wear long sleeves while you're helping him learn to trust you ... it'll help protect ya a bit anyway ... *grin*

good luck! it IS possible, tho it might be alot of work!
