Personally, and maybe this is because I've owned my own business for 10 years, I would be more concerned in the liability aspect of giving such advice. For example, telling someone to keep their ig hydrated with Pedialyte, or to provide higher heat would be suggestions that are to more or less keep the ig going until a qualified herp vet could be seen. Giving specific treatment advice, with doseages of perscription meds is, in my opinion, crossing the line and really quite risky for the person giving the advice. Of course, I have never had any major health problems with Rex (knock on wood!), but if I did, after making an appointment with my vet, this is the first place I would come for advice. However, any advice I would get would simply be tools in getting the most out of my vet visit. My vet would ALWAYS have the last word!
