For those of you who know about NIAD, the new web page
is up. You can see it at http://www.niad.org. I am also
looking for more people interested in the NIAD mailing
list. You can sign up on my web page under the volunteer
section.

For those of you who don't know what NIAD is, it stands
for National Iguana Awareness Day and is set for September
11, 1999. The idea is to get the idea out that iguanas are
"Hard to care for ... easy to love". I want people to know
how hard they are to care for before they buy them, instead
of after. They at least can make a decision knowing this, whether
or not they want to buy the iguana.

Visit the web site and volunteer - we still have several states
not covered by volunteers. If you are not in the US, we also have
chapters in Canada and the UK so you are welcome to start one. You
will work with us, but essentially be your own entity.
