*believe* this is from Fred Frye + Doug Mader ... it's pretty much a standard (i think)

my toddler-decorated notes say 6.5mg Baytril per kilo of body weight ... Baytril is 22.7mg per 1cc ...

take the animal's weight multiplied by 6.5 equals XX

XX divided by 22.7 equals how many cc's per dose ...

Baytril *is* one medication that they have actually done tests on and *is* just as effective orally as it is by injection + the dose is the same ... with the one exception being if it is to treat a gastrointestinal infection, IM injections to start will get the antibiotics into that part of the system a bit quicker than orally ... after 1-2 shots tho, can switch to oral + get the same results ...

(liquid Baytril is rather bitter ... it does come in pill form, will depend on what dose you need ... iZ actually takes the liquid pretty good, he knows it's better than a shot!)
