: Are these good as they make out!
YES!

Which is better the flood or the spot bulb.

Depends on your needs both my lamps are floods

: 100 watt is a lot, guess you can't get the wattage any less?

Maybe in another brand of HID lamps

I was thinking of
: using this, any pros and cons? Thanks.

Ive posted quite a bit on my experience with my lamps (160 and 300 watt floods) Maybe do an archive search here
Well depends who you talk to....talk to Melissa Kaplan...and you get paranoia and fear about their use
Talk to most other herpers that ACTUALLY do use them...and they sing praises of them, and guess what....you won't be reading any ridiculous statements of eye damage and skin cancer to their reptiles.
I know...most iguana people wouldn't be able to wipe their own a****** if it weren't for MK...but you decide for yourself...continue to ask at every forum you can think of....for a well-rounded consensus on them. Until something better,as compact and long lasting comes around...Im sticking to Active UVHeat for my igs.
