Weird poop question

I have noticed when my iguana is is perched on his rope ladder up above me, that there is "something" protruding slightly from the underside of his body at his vent. It looks like it could be poop, except that I've noticed it for the past couple of weeks, and he has been pooping in-between times when I notice it. Do you think it's poop? I don't think he's constipated (poops every other or every third day), but I don't know if that is what is considered "normal". I don't know enough about iguana anatomy to know if it was anything "else".
