You should try and begin tub (water) training him ASAP. Its never too early. You can either use your bath tub (luke warm water, but not too deep) or a kitty litter pan with WATER in it (Target sells a small version for smaller enclosures). Again, luke warm water and he should be able to stand in the water (about shoulder deep). Change the water as soon as he soils it.
