We also purchased the same model as HD a few weeks ago. We only use it for when Baby is outdoors and that's only been 1-2 hours a day.(weather permitting!) I was told to watch out for them because Ig's rub their snout on the mesh looking for a way out and some Ig's have injured themselves in this way. It also depends on the size of your Ig. Baby is still pretty small so we feel comfortable letting him/her use this for now. That will change though. I definitely would not recommend it for a permanant enclosure. J
