Retained shed?? If you have any Vitamin E oil laying around.....I swear by it now for tuff retained shed. I was reading in Mader's the other day....that the thyroid is what controls shed. Thyroid problems=problem shed. If ya got some kelp supplements or can get ahold of some seaweed....put some in his food once a week. A little goes a long way. Prolly doesn't have anything to do with Spike...but thought I'd throw ya a friggin bone...lolol Best thing is to mist him tons....that Vitamin E oil works fabulously...doesn't dry out like the aloe & ky does, and better than mineral oil or baby oil or vegetable oil...why? I do not know...but it worked for me....and Feo's sheds were just horrible a couplea months back. I was so stressed out about getting em off & they would not budge until the Vitamin E oil. Hope this helps...I don't know exactly whats wrong with his spikes..but if its retained shed...give that vitamin E oil a try...I just happened to have some
cheapo oil called "beauty drops" lolol since it didn't work on me!!! I tried it on Feo...and really glad I did...within 2 days the old casings were OFF!
