: What tools are use and how does one go about trimming the iguana's nails. Those things are raiser sharp?
I have had pretty good luck with Gilbert. I agree with the "get him when he's ready for bed" trick, I use the opposite method. I get mom to cut his nails (ok.. I'm a chicken) before she leaves for work in the morning. I grab Gilbert's little fuzzy butt out of bed, and clip 'em before he gets a chance to wake up. :) Then he usually goes back to sleep for awhile. He hates getting up early as much as I do. Then we get up, watch Jenny Jones, have breakfast, and then go play on the front porch for awhile. I am SOOOOO glad that the porch is finally done. I drink coffee and watch TV, and Gilbert plays "Gil-Zilla...king of the wild frontier!" I think that I need to build him a cage big enough to put a lawn chair in. Who needs trees and branches, when there's lawn furniture?!?!?
