When my ig, Sneakers, was little we lost him a couple of times. He can be real hard to find. Start with one room and move and pick up everything slowly. Do not leave any clothing or hidey hole unturned. Once you are certain that he is not in that room close the door and put a towel at the bottom of the door so that he cannot enter that room. You can also put out a heating pad set on low and some food in a corner of the room he was lost in hoping to draw him out.
Once we thought that Sneakers had climbed inside my brand new $1500 recliner. My husband dismantled it slowly so that Sneakers could be recovered. The whole time he was on the back side of a speaker watching the process with glee. Lil imp.
The one thing they usually forget to hide is their tail, keep an eye out for that. Also, if any clothset was open he could be in a shoe or inside the clothes hanging up. Check sleeves very carefully.
Joan (hope you find him soon)
