: The ig was at lesat two and a half years old ( we had only seen it once before in '98 when it cut its leg open). Poor thing was only about 24" TL, a mottled gray color, had abscesses on both sides of its lower jaw, no name, no gender (I would guess female)...I picked her up to check her femoral pores, and she was covered with what looked like third degree burns all over her belly. Poor thing had no normal looking skin under there. Some people should be shot...

hi i seen 3 iguanas in so so shape at a local pet shop last week i told the guy about proper care he really didnt care 1 3foot male was i a 55gallon tank with just an inch of water in his bowl with poop . had not heat or lights no substrate the other 2 were in a wire cage 4feet high 3feetwide 3 feet deep male and female also 3 feet long male had infected tail cage was extremely dirty cat litter box loaded wih weeks of poop nats flying around water bowl filthy lettuce in food bowl . i felt bad i couldnt take them i have a python iguana cornsnake 2birds dog and fish if i brought another animal home i will get shot. i went back this week the 1 male was adopted the other 2 i told the girl to seperate them and put them in clean cages wth newspaper and heat . so the infected one wont get the female sick . lord knows whats wrong with them i told them to clean the males infected tail and apply medicine or take him to a vet soon. hopefully somebodywill adopt these 2 guys. people are cruel i had those anials on my mine for days i pray they get well see a mike
