hey matt my male iguana is close to 5feet i have him in a cage 8feet long 5feet high 2 1/2 feet deep. i woluld build one as big as you can you can use heat lamps or ceramic heaters to heat cage if you live where its warm all year round youll be fine with a open air cage if you live in a place where it gets coolin the winter yo should be ok if you use heat in youre home. you can build the cage out of 2x2s or 2x4s for the frame can use compressed wood / plywood for sides back and bottom of cage use pegboard for the top of cage or plywood and the front use either plexiglass or screen wire for ventilation check out on the web reptile cages / custom cages /retile housing / etc good luck mike
