Hi my name is Jim, just discovered this forum
I have a question. But first some backround. I have a 3 1/2 year
old female green iguana(which I raised from a hatchling),and I
just acquired 3 spiny tailed iguanas(the reptile store just about
gave them to me). All appear to be in good health, very energetic
anyway. The spiny tails are considerably smaller than
my green iguana. They are probably no more than 6mo - 1 yr old.
All four are currently in my green iguana's cage:
8' x 6' x 8' fully insulated walk in enclosure
radiant heat panels, 4 zoo med 48" bulbs,
3 basking lites, a moon light, 2 cooling fans,
and a humidifier. All the temp and lighting is
controlled by a helix pulse propotional thermostat
super system. Lots of climbing branches.
My question is can they be kept together permanently?
Is it possible for my green iguana female and a spiny tail male
to breed when he is old enough?
They have been together for 3 days now without any major conflicts
My female green iguana made it clear from the get go who was queen
cage. Thanks in advance. I just cant find much info on the
spiny tails.
