Well, I *hope* collards are good for Ig's! Habib gets them every day. When we rescued him, he was literally dying of malnutrition. He had been kept on a diet of iceberg lettace and mandrin oranges for the first eight months of his life. He wasn't doing too well; four of his fingers had fallen off (we attribute that to the poor nutrition he had then) and he was slowly fading.
After doing some research, we started giving him collard greens as a staple in his diet, and rounded it out with vegetables and a bit of fruit. Today he's active, healthy, happy and fat! He's had no sign of calcium deficiency (I check his legs and tail weekly for bumps) so far, and I attribute that largely to the high calcium intake he gets from the collards.
Hope this anecdote helps you in your quest for opinions and answers from other Ig owners.
