Desert Iguana newbie question

I'm going to be in Utah for vacation and was thinking about
getting a Desert Iguana. I heard they are east to care for,
don't bite, don't get too big, and can run 20MPH on their hind legs at basking temps!
DO these make good pets and can you handle them? Can you feed them
the rep-cal iguana pellets? I have a nice set up with UVB, etc.
