I use bird clippers and a nail file on my Vega$.
As an iglet, I'd put her on the bathroom towel rack
atop a towel, and work each nail one at a time.
As a 6 pound adult, she will now just lay on her basking
spot and let me do her nails. If she gets onery,
I use the towel rack approach instead.
I have used a dremel to trim some other igs' nails, and for
myself, I won't do that again; it's more so that I
felt uncomfortable/nervous and didn't trust my hands and/or
a sudden iguana movement. I also have friends who have used Henry
Lizardlover's nail melter tool successfully. For myself,
I wouldn't use it for the same reasons above.
Perhaps, I should lay off the caffiene! LOL!
