I erroneously posted last week that the leaves of the hydrangea arborescens, tea was what breaks up/dissolves kidney stones...but its hydrangea ROOT that is used. Sorry about that Iz's Mom, roots are alot less toxic than leaves of plants so it says in this herbal book Ive got.....I found this website on hydrangea that may help. Its supposedly not toxic to animals or humans...short term and if diluted (use spring water vs tap)
http://www.rx.com/reference/natural/Hydrangea.jhtml
http://www.teleport.com/~ibis/cystitis.html (this general cite that mentions the use of hydrangea root on kid. stones but also good info in general on alternative types of treatment , diet info. on cystitis)
Hope this helps....and sorry for the screw up
Gina (who doesn't heed advice to post when Im not so tired!)
