I learned a long time ago to never assume stuff so....are you cutting, mashing or shredding this food in to bite size pieces for him? Cut pieces should be smaller than his mouth. Shredding is the easiest way to go with the squashes.

DO read the material xta pointed you to in her post. AND if his basking temps aren't warm enuf he won't eat and they have to be right also for him to digest his food properly.
